About Me
Meet Steph!
Hey! My name is Steph Mezey (she/her) and I am the Owner/ Lead Wedding Planner at Written in the Stars Events. I am a Certified Wedding Planner through the Certified Wedding Planner Society, the world’s leading wedding planner certification program, and I have been making couples’ dreams come true since 2013.
I have a passion for making people happy and love turning dreams into reality- which I was able to master while working at The Walt Disney Company for 2.5 years. Pair that with my logical and organized side and you get one detail oriented, proactive, and creative wedding and event planner! My training in emergency services also helps keep me calm, cool, and collected throughout the entire event day which translates to a stress-free day for my clients!
In my spare time, you can find me volunteering locally and I often put my planning skills to good use while helping to plan events such as the Atlantic Highlands Fire Department Firemen’s Fair, the Highlands Fire Department Cornhole Tournament, and numerous other fundraising events!
Fun Facts
- My brother and I were best friends growing up.

- We are only 11 months apart in age and are the same age for 5 days.

- One of my life goals is to visit all 50 states in the US. My current count is 37.

- When I was 17, my family rented an RV and went on a cross country trip. We visited 18 states in 28 days!

- I volunteer often and give back to my community when she can.

- I am a volunteer firefighter and have been for over 16 years.
